What does China Petals do?
I use a variety of materials for my mosaics including tiles, stained glass and fine china. I like to repurpose old cups, saucers and plates, nipping, carving and shaping them down into little pieces to create new and exciting artwork. I believe using fine china creates a more delicate mosaic, always pretty and you sometimes have to look closely to realise they are made from recycled china.I am a member of BAMM, the British Association for Modern Mosaics, a Just a Card Supporter and a have been given a Gold Award by Craft Courses for my china mosaic workshops.
Making personal keepsakes and gifts is one of my most favourite things to do. Making something that has special meaning to someone else is an honour and I feel it a great privilege when asked to do so. You could have broken an old favourite mug or inherited some china which isn't to your taste but want to keep a piece because of the memories it holds. I am happy to talk through the options to make sure you have something that adds to those memories and continues the story. If you are interested in commissioning your own mosaic please contact me and I will be happy to talk through the options.
