It took me a long time to decide what to do with this bird. I had the shape for ages and put the green leaves on, (mini ceramic tiles) but then stopped. I then was given some of the lovely brown porcelain which I thought would make perfect bark and did that bit. It then went back on the shelf. I knew the bird itself had to be a bit special and I waited ages for the right china to come along. I love how it has turned out. The deep burgundy red with gold gliding adds a lovely richness of colour.
A really special bird which would look perfect on a mantle, radiator cover, window sill, bookcase or side board.
The piece measures approx 30cm across at it's widest point (tip of tail to tip of leaf) and 15 cm high. It is approx 2cm thick and is able to free stand
